Stock Track | Shift4 Payments Plunges 6.75% in Pre-market After Missing Q4 Earnings and Revenue Estimates

Shift4 Payments, Inc. (NYSE: FOUR) experienced a significant pre-market plunge of 6.75% on Thursday following the release of its fourth-quarter 2025 financial results.

The sharp decline appears to be a direct reaction to the company's quarterly report, which showed both adjusted earnings per share and revenue falling short of Wall Street expectations. According to the earnings release, Shift4 posted adjusted EPS of $1.60 for Q4 2025, missing the analyst consensus estimate of $1.62. Furthermore, quarterly sales came in at $1.189 billion, which also fell short of the $1.204 billion estimate.

While the company reported year-over-year growth in revenue, the failure to meet market expectations for both key metrics has triggered a negative investor response in pre-market trading. The results come as the company announced the availability of its Q4 2025 shareholder letter and scheduled an earnings conference call for later in the day.
