U.S. insurance provider Orion180 Insurance Group has submitted its initial public offering (IPO) application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), marking a strategic move to expand its footprint in the rapidly growing specialty homeowners and flood insurance segments.

The company plans to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "OIG," aiming to raise up to $100 million through the offering. Specific pricing terms for the share sale have not yet been disclosed.

Orion180 specializes in delivering innovative property and flood insurance solutions tailored for homeowners and landlords. Its product suite encompasses standard homeowners policies, rental property coverage, and customized private flood insurance, with a particularly strong presence in California and high-risk areas across the Southeast.

As of June 30, 2026, these offerings are distributed through a network of more than 14,000 active independent agents. The company reports that, based on direct written premiums, it ranks as the second-largest excess and surplus (E&S) homeowners insurer in the United States, operating across 14 states.

For the twelve months ending June 30, 2026, Orion180 managed approximately $601 million in gross written premiums and has sold over 670,000 policies since its inception in 2015. In 2025, 51% of its managed premiums originated from traditional non-admitted underwriting products, focusing on coastal regions and properties with elevated geographic risk exposure to natural disasters.

Financially, Orion180 posted a net profit of $13.5 million on revenue of $80.1 million for the first half of 2026, a notable turnaround from a net loss of $3 million on revenue of $50.4 million during the corresponding period a year earlier.
