The board of SUNHO BIO-B (02898) has announced that its independent investigation committee has appointed CLA Advisory (Hong Kong) Limited as the independent forensic investigation body to conduct an inquiry into the relevant matters.
The committee considered several key factors in its selection, including the firm's status as an independent third party with no connections to any major shareholders, directors, or the company's former or incoming auditors. The appointed body has confirmed it has no prior or current business relationship with the group that could reasonably be seen as impairing its independence.
Furthermore, the investigation will be handled by a dedicated eight-person forensic team from the firm, led by a senior partner with over 18 years of audit and forensic experience. All team members possess extensive experience in conducting complex financial investigations in both Hong Kong and Mainland China.
The committee also noted the project team's proven track record of successfully conducting independent forensic investigations for companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, and the firm's commitment to delivering a practical timeline that aligns with the company's schedule for meeting the resumption guidance conditions.
Based on these considerations, the independent committee concluded that the appointed body possesses the necessary independence, qualifications, experience, and resources to carry out the investigation. The company's shares remain suspended from trading.
