SUNAC (01918) rallied over 9% during intraday trading, with shares last up 5.51% at HK$0.575, recording a turnover of HK$145 million. The company announced its official strategic transformation, designating "asset management plus asset operations" as its new direction for upgrade.

Under the new strategy, SUNAC will split its traditional integrated investment-development model into two independent business segments: asset management and project construction-operations management. As a critical step in implementing this transformation, the company simultaneously declared the acquisition of a 100% equity stake in a real estate light-asset management firm for RMB 123 million.

According to the announced plan, the asset management and construction-management divisions will each independently expand their market-oriented operations while fostering mutual support and collaborative growth. The asset management arm will focus on capital integration and identifying investment opportunities within the real estate sector, whereas the construction-management division will provide light-asset services such as construction, operations, and sales for both investment projects and third-party ventures.
