Prudential plc reports latest share repurchase and cancellation on May, 20 2026

Prudential plc announced the cancellation of 257,433 ordinary shares on May, 19 2026, representing about 0.0102% of its previously issued share capital.

Following the cancellation, the company’s issued share capital totals 2,523,184,026 ordinary shares.

Prudential also disclosed that a further 779,984 shares—252,765 repurchased on May, 18 2026 and 527,219 repurchased on May, 19 2026—had been bought for cancellation but were still outstanding as at May, 19 2026.

Under the repurchase mandate approved on May, 14 2025, the company is authorised to buy back up to 262,668,701 shares. To date, 89,766,075 shares (about 3.4465% of the issued share capital at the time of the mandate) have been repurchased under this authority.

The 527,219 shares acquired on May, 19 2026 were bought on the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging between roughly 19.1 and 19.4 Singapore dollars per share, for an aggregate consideration of approximately 10.1 million Singapore dollars.

Prudential noted that, in line with listing rules, it is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until Jun, 18 2026.
