Mobix Labs, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOBX), a high-tech company specializing in advanced wireless and wired connectivity, radio frequency (RF), electromagnetic interference (EMI) filtering, and semiconductor solutions, announced today that its board of directors has approved a proposal to change the company's name to "NSM Labs, Inc." This proposal will be submitted for consideration at the upcoming shareholder meeting.
NSM stands for "National Security Matters." The name change signals a clear strategic transformation for the company. Mobix Labs Executive Chairman James Peterson stated that the new name is a declaration of the company's mission: to build a focused U.S. technology platform centered on systems, resources, and infrastructure that are increasingly vital to the security and resilience of the United States and its allies.
The renaming plan follows the company's signing of a definitive agreement to acquire Vision Aerial, Inc., a U.S.-based designer and manufacturer of drone systems that comply with relevant regulatory requirements. Upon completion, this acquisition will add U.S.-made drones and aerial intelligence platforms to Mobix Labs' capabilities in RF, sensing, connectivity, and defense electronics, extending its business reach into defense, critical infrastructure, energy, public safety, and industrial markets.
Under its related initiatives, the company has established four strategic growth pillars: Critical Resources and Advanced Materials; Defense, Aerospace, and Autonomous Systems; Energy, Water, and Critical Infrastructure; and Digital Infrastructure and Strategic Technology.
Until all necessary approvals are obtained and the relevant changes are completed, the company will continue to operate as Mobix Labs, Inc., its Class A common stock will remain listed on Nasdaq under the ticker MOBX, and shareholders are not required to take any action at this time.
