An ideal place to live and work forms the cornerstone of the mutual attraction between young people and the city. From a creative life festival brimming with local flavor, to warm and dynamic youth talent communities, and even a high-altitude speed climbing challenge... In Pudong, this mutual pursuit is materializing into vivid scenes, helping young talents settle down and thrive, achieving personal growth in sync with urban development through community vitality and trendy experiences.

Enhancing Services in Model Talent Communities

The goal is not just for young talent to 'live' but to 'thrive well'. As the early summer evening breeze blows, tasting delicacies from various regions, with stage singers being young residents themselves... Recently, the three-day "Stroll Life Festival" was held at the Nash Youth Talent Community located in Zhangjiang Science City. Deeply integrating music culture, creative markets, sports experiences, and eco-friendly crafts among other elements, the event brought together nearly 80 unique stalls and set up close to 30 special activities and performances, adding a rich, vibrant atmosphere to the community.

As a core policy within the "15 Youth Innovation Measures", Pudong has introduced the "Two Millions" initiative: providing "one million square meters of low-rent youth apartments and one million square meters of low-rent startup space" for young talent. This aims to attract more domestic and international youth to begin their careers, pursue innovative dreams, and realize their life value in Pudong. Simultaneously, focusing on low-rent youth apartments, Pudong is creating a series of youth talent communities, continuously improving service measures around five key functions: "Youth Academy, Youth Community Groups, Youth Sports, Youth Startup First Stop, and Vibrant Streets".

Zhang Rong, who graduated last year, chose Pudong as her first career stop and benefited from the "Two Millions" policy, moving into the Nash Youth Talent Community. "The atmosphere here is excellent. By participating in various community activities, you can quickly meet like-minded friends. We often get together to play music and join different sports activities. Life in Pudong is very colorful," Zhang Rong said.

It is reported that the community has already attracted over 50 diverse businesses, including casual dining, cafes by day and bars by night, pet social spaces, and cultural arts merchants. These rich consumption scenes help build a "24/7" vibrant street. Notably, a comprehensive housing service chain has taken shape within the community, ranging from "free short-term stay for job seekers coming to Shanghai" to "low-rent youth apartments with monthly rent not exceeding 2000 yuan".

Over the past year, the community has provided free short-term accommodation services through the "Pudong International Talent Post" for nearly 1,900 young talents and offered low-rent youth apartment policy support to a group of young people, supporting their "dream of settling down".

Fostering Development Beyond Housing

How can young talent not just "live" but also "thrive well"? According to reports, Nash initiated the construction of the youth talent community last year. Beyond incubating youth community groups and creating a vibrant street ecosystem, to address youth development needs, the community has established a Youth Academy. It offers 2-3 classes weekly on topics like industry trends, entrepreneurship sharing, and language culture, and has introduced the science city's branded event "Zhangjiang Sword Debate Innovation Salon" into the community, facilitating cross-disciplinary and cross-industry deep dialogues for young talent.

The community is also concurrently building a "Youth Startup First Stop". From the newly introduced "Live-Work Integration" service to the iterative upgrade of youth innovation spaces, the aim is to also transform the community into a startup incubator. This can help young talent from all over the country and the world to start their entrepreneurial journeys in Pudong more efficiently, conveniently, and at a lower cost.

It is understood that the Nash | Zoli Youth Talent Community, located in Zhoupu, is set to commence operations in the third quarter. The first phase offers over 1,800 units ready for immediate occupancy, primarily featuring 31-square-meter one-bedroom layouts. Each unit includes a separate wet-and-dry bathroom and a private balcony, equipped with branded appliances. Beyond creating a "cozy home", the community has also planned a series of shared spaces including a youth center, reading room, shared gym, and green park, ensuring every resident can find a sense of belonging and comfort here.

Youth and Trendy Living Scale New Heights

In Pudong, new paradigms for youthful, trendy living are constantly being unlocked. Recently, at Shanghai Tower, China's tallest building, the Pudong New Area Youth Talent Vertical Climbing Challenge kicked off in a lively atmosphere. Over 150 participants, including members from the "running groups" of Pudong's youth talent communities, representatives of young professionals from Lujiazui Financial City buildings, and enthusiasts of domestic trends and sports, took to the world's largest, highest-scoring, and highest-altitude professional landmark track. With a spirit of "ascending to the peak", they embodied "Pudong's height, youth's speed".

This was not just a vertical marathon. The event also saw the release of the "Pudong Youth Trendy Life Guide (Lujiazui Special Edition)" themed "Play the Whole Building", covering 13 commercial buildings, 111 trendy small shops, and 54 exclusive consumer benefits. With this, all five editions of the "Pudong Youth Trendy Life Guide" are now complete. These include special editions with landmark features like Lujiazui, Expo, and the countryside, as well as editions dedicated to specific areas like sports and socializing. The benefits are valid across all four seasons, essentially "covering" all aspects of eating, drinking, entertainment, and shopping for Pudong's youth with one guide.

Lu Wenxuan from the Nash Youth Talent Community remarked with a smile, "I've been in Shanghai for 10 years, and this is my first time at the tallest building, and in such a cool way. When I reached the top, I felt like I had 'conquered the Magic City'."

Even more "high-tech" is that this event integrated exclusive consumer benefits into digital ticket stubs using blockchain technology. Participants received not just a paper certificate after the run, but a pass deeply linked with trendy living that could also appreciate in value, further transforming sports participation into increased consumption among youth.

At the event site, 12 young individuals were appointed as a new group of Pudong Youth Economy Promotion Ambassadors. These "trendsetters" come from various industries: trend media professionals, operations geeks, and community KOLs. Moving forward, they will use methods like short videos, live-streamed store visits, and community check-ins to guide more young people into the trendy landmarks and consumption scenes featured in the "Pudong Youth Trendy Life Guide".
