PennyMac Mortgage Investment Trust has announced a quarterly cash dividend of $0.5078 per share for its 8.125% Series A Fixed-to-Floating Rate Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Shares. On an annualized basis, the forward dividend yield for these shares is approximately 8.8%.

The dividend for the Series A preferred shares is scheduled for payment on June 15, 2026, to shareholders of record as of June 1, 2026, with the ex-dividend date also set for June 1, 2026. Based on the recent trading price of $22.98 per share, this quarterly dividend represents a current yield of about 8.8%.

The company also announced dividend arrangements for its Series B and Series C preferred shares. The Series B shares will receive a dividend of $0.50 per share, while the Series C shares will receive $0.421875 per share. Both series share the same ex-dividend and payment dates as the Series A shares.

The dividend declaration follows the company's reported financial results for the first quarter of 2026. Net income attributable to common shareholders was $14.2 million, or $0.16 per common share. Although the book value per common share decreased from $15.25 to $14.98, primarily due to reduced contributions from interest rate-sensitive strategies, Chairman and CEO David Spector stated that the fundamental performance of the company's investment portfolio remains strong.

During the quarter, the company completed eight securitization transactions with a total value of $2.8 billion and retained over $200 million in new investments. Spector indicated that the company is on track to complete approximately 30 securitization transactions in 2026, which is expected to form the foundation for supporting future earnings.
