StoneX Group Inc. (SNEX) saw its stock price surge 6.32% during Wednesday's trading session.
The significant gain followed the company's release of its fiscal second-quarter 2026 financial results, which substantially exceeded analyst expectations. StoneX reported diluted earnings per share of $2.07, beating the FactSet consensus estimate of $1.49. Net operating revenue for the quarter rose 70% year-over-year to $829.1 million, also surpassing estimates.
CEO Philip Smith attributed the record results to strong performances across all four operating segments, with substantial increases in derivatives and physical contracts activity. The ongoing integration of R.J. O'Brien also contributed to revenue growth and remains on track for substantial completion this fiscal year.
