Shangri-La Hotel Public Company Limited (SHANG) has reported a consolidated net profit attributable to equity holders of approximately 1.25 million Singapore dollars for the quarter ended Jun, 30 2026, turning around from a loss of about 1.57 million Singapore dollars in the same period a year earlier.

Second-quarter earnings per share moved into positive territory at roughly S$0.01, compared with a loss of around S$0.01 per share in 2025.

For the six months to Jun, 30 2026, consolidated net profit rose to about 9.0 million Singapore dollars, almost doubling the 4.6 million Singapore dollars posted a year earlier. The company attributed the improvement mainly to higher foreign-exchange gains on loans to a related party and a smaller share of losses from associates.

On a standalone basis, the parent company recorded a second-quarter net profit of roughly 0.7 million Singapore dollars, down 66 per cent year on year, reflecting softer room and food-and-beverage revenue at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, partly offset by stronger trading at Shangri-La Hotel, Chiang Mai.

As at Jun, 30 2026, group cash and cash equivalents stood at about 5.6 million Singapore dollars, down from 37.8 million Singapore dollars at the end of 2025, while short-term fixed deposits increased by an estimated 38.4 million Singapore dollars as excess cash was moved into longer-term placements.
