Kelfred projects HK$12.10 million interim loss, citing weaker eyewear margins

Kelfred Holdings Limited issued a profit warning, estimating a net loss of approximately HK$12.10 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026, compared with a HK$4.70 million loss in the corresponding period of 2025.

Management attributed the widened deficit to a reduction in gross profit from eyewear sales amid intensified market competition and higher production costs linked to Renminbi appreciation. The cost pressure and lower average selling prices outweighed the effect of ongoing cost-saving measures, compressing margins during the reporting period.

The loss estimate is based on unaudited consolidated management accounts and may change after the Board finalises the interim results. A Board meeting is scheduled for 31 August 2026 to approve the interim figures and consider declaring an interim dividend, if any.

Kelfred advised shareholders and potential investors to exercise caution when trading the company’s shares until the official interim results are released.
