Kintor Pharma-B (HKEX: 09939) shares surged more than 10% following the announcement of key clinical data.
At the time of writing, the stock was up 10.43% to HK$2.54, with a trading volume of HK$3.9679 million.
The company announced on June 1st that data from two significant clinical studies for its self-developed, potential first-in-class drug candidate, KX-826, were presented at the 14th World Congress for Hair Research (WCHR 2026) held in Seoul, South Korea, from May 28th to 31st, 2026.
The first set of data is from a Phase III clinical trial for treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA or hair loss) in adult Chinese males.
The overall results demonstrated that KX-826 exhibited excellent efficacy and safety in treating patients with hair loss.
The second set of data is from a clinical observational study on the combination therapy of KX-826 with minoxidil for treating adult Chinese male hair loss.
This study, led by Professor Jiang Leiwei and colleagues, provides a solid foundation for future Phase III clinical trials of the KX-826 and minoxidil combination therapy.
The company stated it is actively advancing the marketing authorization application for KX-826.
Once approved, KX-826 is expected to become a first-in-class topical innovative drug.
