Insmed's stock surged 5.13% during Tuesday's trading session, marking a significant rebound for the pharmaceutical company.

The price increase follows analysis from RBC Capital Markets, which defended the stock by stating that the sell-off after its first-quarter earnings report was overdone. RBC maintained its full-year 2026 sales guidance for Brinsupri, Insmed's non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis treatment, at approximately $1.3 billion and kept its Outperform rating on the stock.

Despite Insmed's Q1 results beating expectations with net product revenue of $306 million versus estimates of $300.8 million, the stock had initially sold off on investor concerns about patient addition trends and compliance rates. RBC's assessment that organic patient additions should enable the treatment to clear the $1 billion threshold with cushion prompted the stock's recovery during the trading day.
