Stock Track | Applied Optoelectronics Soars 5.48% in Pre-market on Spectrum Deal and CPO Delay Benefits

Stock Track
Jun 10

Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) experienced a significant pre-market surge of 5.48% on Wednesday, rebounding from recent sector volatility.

The sharp upward movement follows the company's announcement of a major expansion of its relationship with Spectrum. Applied Optoelectronics will supply its QuantumLink remote management software to serve as the control system for all connected 1.8GHz amplifiers across Spectrum's footprint, extending their collaboration into centralized network intelligence and operational control.

Additionally, market analysis suggests that reported delays in Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) technology deployment could benefit traditional optical module suppliers like Applied Optoelectronics. Industry research indicates CPO faces significant engineering and cost challenges, potentially extending the lifecycle and demand for conventional pluggable optical modules in which AAOI specializes.
