Trip.com Group Limited (TCOM) shares fell 5.01% in after-hours trading on Wednesday, following the release of its first-quarter financial results.

The travel platform reported net income attributable to shareholders of RMB2.5 billion for Q1 2026, down from RMB4.28 billion a year earlier, with diluted earnings per share dropping to RMB3.67 from RMB6.09. While revenue increased 17% year-over-year to RMB16.2 billion, non-GAAP earnings per share of RMB5.73 missed the consensus estimate of RMB6.15.

Investors reacted negatively to the company's outlook for the second quarter, which expects net revenue growth to decelerate to 3% to 8% year-over-year, with margins and bottom-line results likely to face pressure from macroeconomic headwinds. The company also noted an ongoing investigation by China's State Administration for Market Regulation regarding potential monopolistic conduct, which could result in significant fines or changes to business practices.
