WK Group (Holdings) Limited issued a profit warning for the six months ended 30 June 2026, signalling a net loss of not less than HK$10.00 million. The company had posted a net profit of HK$10.80 million in the same period of 2025, marking a negative swing of at least HK$20.80 million year-on-year.
Management attributed the anticipated downturn to two primary factors:
1. Revenue Contraction • Awarded projects carried lower aggregate contract values during the reporting period, reducing overall turnover.
2. Margin Compression • Tender prices were cut to secure construction contracts amid tighter budgets at main-contractor level. • Additional expenses arose from idle factory resources, further eroding gross profit margin.
The figures are based on unaudited management accounts and remain subject to review. WK Group plans to release its full interim results by the end of August 2026. Investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares until the finalised figures are published.
