As of August 8, the Changsha EMU Depot, under the Guangzhou Bureau of the National Railway Group, announced that all 130 EMU trains allocated to the depot will be fully operational on August 8 and 9, achieving a 100% deployment rate.

As the largest EMU maintenance base in Hunan Province, the depot is responsible for the inspection and upkeep of high-speed rail trains on key routes, including the Beijing-Guangzhou, Shanghai-Kunming, and Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua lines. To address the sustained peak demand from students, tourists, and family visits, the depot's 600 train mechanics have entered an intensive mode of operation.

They implement a strategy combining "nighttime centralized maintenance" with "big data-based intelligent alerts," conducting comprehensive inspections of critical components, including running gear, pantographs, braking systems, and air conditioning units. This ensures that every train set leaves the depot with zero defects, maintaining smooth transport operations even under high-capacity conditions.
