BYD Launches 2027 Seal 06: Up to 630km EV Range, Flash Charging, and Smart Driving from $13,800

BYD's Ocean Network B-class sedan, the 2027 Seal 06, has officially launched, offering both pure electric and plug-in hybrid powertrain options across 12 variants. Pricing starts at 99,900 yuan and goes up to 155,900 yuan.

The 2027 BYD Seal 06 features a new Ocean Aesthetics design language, with a class-leading 4,870mm body length and a 2,820mm wheelbase. Exterior color options include five exclusive ocean-inspired hues, while the interior introduces two new color schemes: Twilight Blue and Sea Salt Gray.

The pure electric BYD Seal 06 EV is equipped with a native flash charging platform and second-generation Blade Battery, boosting its CLTC range to a maximum of 630km while achieving an average energy consumption of just 10.7 kWh per 100km. The upgraded motor delivers 240kW of power, enabling a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 190km/h. The plug-in hybrid BYD Seal 06 DM-i utilizes the fifth-generation DM technology, featuring a 34kWh large battery that extends its CLTC pure electric range to 320km. Its NEDC fuel consumption in depleted mode is as low as 2.59L per 100km, with a combined maximum range of 2,370km on a full tank and full charge.

The vehicle comes with the God's Eye B - Assisted Driving Laser Edition, promising robust smart parking and urban navigation pilot assistance. The cabin is upgraded with the DiLink 150 intelligent cockpit, featuring a 15.6-inch central control screen integrated with a full-featured version of DeepSeek for voice interaction. Additional features include a 12-inch W-HUD head-up display and 50W wireless phone charging.

The 2027 BYD Seal 06 is equipped with the DiSus-C intelligent damping body control system. Front seats offer electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage functions, along with driver's seat memory and welcome feature for easy entry and exit. The EV version includes a 115L smart electric unlocking front trunk, while the DM-i variant provides a 550L large trunk. Other amenities include a panoramic sunroof with an electric sunshade and a smart refrigerated compartment.

For safety, the vehicle utilizes an endoskeleton CTB (Cell-to-Body) safety architecture, with high-strength steel accounting for 75.4% of the body structure and up to 7 airbags. The second-generation Blade Battery in the EV version has passed extreme tests, including a flash-charge-with-simultaneous-puncture test. The High-Speed Tire Blowout Stability Control System is standard, maintaining vehicle stability and steering control even during a blowout at speeds up to 140km/h. Additional safety features include a Driver Monitoring System (DMS) and a 360° high-definition panoramic transparent imaging system.
