GP Industries Limited said on Jul, 22 2026 that it had received a shareholder query ahead of its Jul, 27 2026 annual general meeting about the effects of the Iran-related conflict and the temporary closure of the Strait of Hormuz on its operations.

Sales to European markets made up about 22% of the group’s revenue for the financial year ended Mar, 31 2026. Because the waterway shutdown began in late Feb, 2026, management said the disruption had no significant effect on fiscal-year 2026 results.

Looking to the year ending Mar, 31 2027, the company cautioned that a prolonged closure could raise energy and logistics costs by forcing vessels onto longer routes and extending transit times. GP Industries said it is monitoring freight conditions, working with logistics providers on alternative routes, maintaining inventory buffers for Europe, adjusting shipment schedules, and raising product prices where needed.
