Citigroup Launches Trade Digitalization Platform Combining Supply Chain Finance Services

Deep News
Jul 28

Citigroup recently announced the launch of the Citi Consolidate™ solution, which creates end-to-end trade digitalization services for corporate clients and their suppliers by integrating invoice processing with supply chain financing.

The solution is powered by Infor Nexus. In traditional international trade, invoice creation, reconciliation, and payment approval processes are fragmented and rely heavily on manual operations, often taking weeks to complete. This leads to buyers being unable to access critical data and suppliers struggling to secure the financing they need for operations.

Citi Consolidate™ digitizes invoice approval, purchase orders, and accounts payable processes, enabling end-to-end straight-through processing and significantly compressing the approval cycle. The global head of Trade and Working Capital Solutions at Citigroup's Services business stated that Citi Consolidate demonstrates Citigroup's firm commitment to driving innovative solutions and helping clients advance their digital transformation. The new features will help clients achieve paperless process goals while optimizing working capital.

For buyers, the solution offers a single data entry point, automated processes with accelerated processing, enhanced cash flow visibility, and supply chain risk mitigation functions.

For suppliers, they can access financing earlier, gain greater payment status transparency, and obtain a broader range of financing options, including purchase order financing, deep-tier supply chain financing, and dynamic discounts.

Citigroup has recently become a financing service provider for Infor Nexus in the United States, meaning its clients can access services without switching between multiple platforms. Citi Consolidate™ is currently being launched first in the United States and Canada, with plans to expand to more countries by 2026.
