Regis Resources Ltd (RRL.AU) surged 6.28% during intraday trading on Wednesday, driven by positive operational and financial updates from the company.
The gold miner announced a significant contract extension with Perenti for underground mining services at its Duketon operations in Western Australia. The agreement, valued at approximately AU$180 million, is now set to run until at least March 2029, providing long-term revenue visibility and operational stability without requiring additional growth capital.
Additionally, Regis Resources reported a year-over-year increase in its fiscal third-quarter gold production to 90,600 ounces, up from 89,700 ounces in the same period last year. The company also disclosed a substantially strengthened cash and bullion position of AU$1.13 billion as of March 31, a notable increase from AU$367 million a year earlier, reflecting improved financial health.
