Melco International Development (00200) saw its shares decline more than 4% before the midday break, trading at HK$3.29 with a turnover of HK$8.49 million, representing a 4.36% drop.
According to a company announcement, its listed subsidiary, Melco Crown Entertainment, reported total operating revenue of $1.25 billion for the second quarter of 2026, a decrease of approximately 6% compared to the same period last year. This decline was primarily attributed to a slowdown in the VIP segment, mass-market table games, and non-gaming operations.
Operating income stood at $128 million, up from $125 million in the prior-year period. Net income attributable to Melco Crown Entertainment reached $22.7 million, marking a 31.98% increase year-on-year.
