Global financial institutions are accelerating their adoption of specialised artificial intelligence to manage liquidity risks, with Ant Group's Ant International launching an upgraded AI model that has attracted major international banks.
The newly released "Falcon Time-Series Transformer Model 2.0" is purpose-built for financial scenarios, offering distinct advantages over general-purpose large language models, which have yet to achieve universal breakthroughs in the finance sector.
Kelvin Li, General Manager of Platform Technology at Ant International, confirmed that the company has established partnerships with six leading banks, including Citibank, HSBC Holdings PLC, Deutsche Bank, STANDARD CHARTERED PLC, and Barclays.
The model's precision in forecasting can reduce foreign exchange hedging and allocation costs by more than 60%, addressing a critical pain point in treasury operations where accurate predictions translate directly into substantial savings for financial institutions.
