GWMotor has secured a commanding lead in the plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) residual value rankings, according to the July 2026 China Auto Residual Value Report shared by @TankSUV on August 6.
GWMotor's Tank 500 New Energy, Tank 400 New Energy, and Haval Menglong PHEV took the top three positions for three-year residual value among plug-in hybrids. Specifically, the Tank 500 New Energy achieved the highest three-year residual value, while the Tank 400 New Energy claimed the top spot for one-year residual value in the same category.
In July, GWMotor sold 108,067 new vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 3.54%, with new energy vehicle sales growing steadily year-on-year. The Tank brand sold 17,228 units in July, up 9.64% month-on-month, while Haval recorded 56,272 units sold, also showing robust year-on-year growth.
Notably, on July 19, the new Tank 300 was officially launched, offering five variants covering plug-in hybrid and fuel-powered options. The new Tank 300L Hi4-T is priced at 249,800 yuan, while the Tank 300L Hi4-Z costs 259,800 yuan. With diverse powertrains and premium features, the new Tank 300 is designed for all-terrain driving. It is the first model to feature a 2.0T Hi4-Z ultra-performance hybrid system, delivering a combined power of 560 kW, torque of 1,195 N·m, a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 4.3 seconds, and a CLTC pure electric range of 251 km. For comfort, the new Tank 300 uses a body-on-frame structure with a five-layer flexible vibration-damping system to smooth out road bumps, along with a Coffee Pilot 3.0 driver assistance system that supports city/highway NOA, all-scenario parking, and 100-meter reverse tracking.
