Nutanix Inc. (NTNX) shares surged 18.18% in post-market trading on Wednesday, marking a significant 24-hour soar for the hybrid multicloud computing company.
The dramatic price movement follows the company's release of better-than-expected fiscal second-quarter 2026 financial results. Nutanix reported quarterly revenue of $722.8 million, surpassing analyst estimates of $709.9 million, while adjusted earnings per share of $0.56 also exceeded expectations.
Concurrently, Nutanix announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to jointly develop an open, full-stack AI infrastructure platform for enterprise agentic AI applications. As part of the agreement, AMD will make a strategic investment of $150 million in Nutanix common stock and provide up to an additional $100 million to support joint engineering and go-to-market initiatives, representing a total potential commitment of $250 million.
