SC repurchases 792,070 shares for about £15.04 million under ongoing buy-back, to cut share count to 2.21 billion

Standard Chartered PLC (“SC”) acquired 792,070 of its US$0.50 ordinary shares on 18 May 2026 through J.P. Morgan Securities plc, advancing the share buy-back programme first announced on 24 February 2026.

The shares were bought at prices ranging from 1,870.0000 to 1,922.5000 pence, with a volume-weighted average price of 1,898.9068 pence. Based on the average price, the day’s purchases represent an estimated cash outlay of approximately £15.04 million.

Cumulative deployment under the programme reached US$1.02 billion as of 15 May 2026. All shares bought back will be cancelled, reducing SC’s issued share capital to 2.21 billion ordinary shares and an equivalent number of voting rights.
