The significant after-hours gain was driven by the company reporting quarterly adjusted earnings of $2.87 per share, a substantial 43.5% increase from $2.00 per share in the same period last year and beating the analyst consensus estimate of $2.32. Revenue for the quarter climbed 5.96% year-over-year to $3.42 billion, also exceeding the $3.36 billion estimate.
Furthermore, DaVita raised its full-year 2026 adjusted earnings per share guidance to a range of $14.10 to $15.20, up from its previous outlook of $13.60 to $15.00. The company cited strong demand for its kidney dialysis services and operational execution as key drivers for the improved financial performance and outlook.
