Sino Biopharmaceutical Limited (SBP Group, 01177) has approved a 12-month share purchase plan of up to HK$2.00 billion following recent share-price volatility, according to a board announcement released on 15 June 2026.

The initiative will be executed through: 1. On-market share buy-backs within the Share Buy-Back Mandate scheduled for shareholder approval at the 17 June 2026 annual general meeting; and 2. Open-market purchases by the trustee of the company’s restricted share award scheme, adopted on 5 January 2018.

Allocation between buy-backs and share-award purchases will be determined by the board based on prevailing market conditions.

Year-to-date, the company has already repurchased or acquired 60.35 million shares for approximately HK$337.96 million.

The board stated that current market valuations “grossly underestimate” the group’s intrinsic value and that the planned purchases aim to bolster investor confidence and enhance shareholder returns. Management affirmed that existing financial resources are sufficient to fund the programme while maintaining a healthy balance-sheet position.

Stakeholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in SBP Group securities.
