Precious metals futures on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) showed strong gains on August 5, with the main gold contract rising 2.90% to 922 yuan per gram.
Meanwhile, the main silver contract also performed well, climbing 3.83% to 15,276 yuan per kilogram.
