JD HEALTH (06618) and China Resources Sanjiu Medical&Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd. (000999) have jointly initiated the "Primary Healthcare Guardian Plan." The collaboration was announced at a conference in Shenzhen focused on building a new ecosystem for primary healthcare by 2026. The two companies will leverage their respective strengths in digital intelligence technology, platform resources, and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) supply chains to extend high-quality TCM services to grassroots communities. This initiative aims to address practical challenges such as insufficient diagnostic resources and limited service capabilities at the primary care level.
Under the plan, JD HEALTH will provide support to eligible primary medical institutions and practitioners through AI technology, platform resources, and supply chain ecosystems. The company will utilize its "Jing Yi Qian Xun" medical large model to offer intelligent tools such as AI-assisted tongue diagnosis, AI-aided diagnostics, and AI follow-up systems. These digital solutions are designed to enhance diagnostic efficiency and reduce operational barriers at the grassroots level. Additionally, JD HEALTH will establish a dedicated platform section to promote TCM culture, supporting its inheritance and innovation.
By collaborating with China Resources Sanjiu and other partners, JD HEALTH will also leverage JD Logistics' distribution network to ensure timely delivery and quality control of TCM products. This effort seeks to improve the primary-level TCM service ecosystem, making high-quality TCM care more accessible to local communities.
A representative from JD HEALTH's internet healthcare business unit stated that primary-level TCM development currently faces multiple challenges. The "Primary Healthcare Guardian Plan" is intended to help address these issues. JD HEALTH aims to assist local clinics in transcending traditional limitations, expanding their service scope and efficiency, and evolving from passive practice models to proactive "health hubs." This transformation is expected to contribute significantly to the development of grassroots TCM and the broader "Healthy China" initiative.
A representative from China Resources Sanjiu’s TCM division emphasized that primary care is the foundation of TCM development. The partnership with JD HEALTH will combine complementary advantages in TCM supply chains and internet platforms, enabling more people in grassroots areas to access quality TCM diagnosis and medication.
In recent years, the Chinese government has strengthened its support for TCM development. Policies such as the "Healthy China 2030" plan and the "Implementation Plan for Major Projects to Revitalize TCM" have outlined a clear direction for the modernization, digitalization, and grassroots expansion of TCM. Against this backdrop, the collaboration between JD HEALTH and China Resources Sanjiu represents an active response to national policies, aiming to create synergies through multi-party cooperation and extend premium TCM resources to primary healthcare settings.
