Meituan's Food Delivery Platform Introduces New Location-Based Store Tags for Enhanced User Experience

Deep News
Aug 21

As of August this year, over 200,000 merchants on Meituan's food delivery platform have adopted the new "Mall Store" tag, while 45,000 businesses have showcased the "Commercial Street Store" label, according to the company's latest disclosure.

The newly introduced tags are specifically designed for operational scenarios that are difficult to categorize under traditional "dine-in" or "no dine-in" classifications, such as mall food courts, commercial street kiosks, and vendors utilizing shared dining areas.

This initiative aims to provide consumers with clearer insights into a store's location, operational environment, and dining conditions before they place an order, thereby improving the overall decision-making process and shopping experience.
