Qingdao-based GON TECHNOLOGY published its inaugural Environmental, Social and Governance & Sustainable Development Report, detailing 2025 performance across climate, resource utilisation, workforce and governance indicators.

Environmental indicators • Total greenhouse-gas emissions reached 462,773.88 tCO₂e, comprising 45,881.41 tCO₂e of Scope 1 and 416,892.47 tCO₂e of Scope 2 emissions; emission intensity stood at 21.78 tCO₂e per RMB 1 million revenue. • Energy consumption totalled 121,266.01 t of standard coal equivalent, or 5.71 t per RMB 1 million revenue; renewable-energy installations amounted to 1.97 MW of solar capacity. • Water withdrawal reached 3.36 million m³, with consumption intensity of 158.24 m³ per RMB 1 million revenue, while wastewater discharge totalled 2.52 million tonnes. • Waste generation reached 39,733.56 tonnes, of which 2,011.60 tonnes were hazardous. A 4,605.70-tonne volume of general solid waste was recovered for reuse. • No major environmental penalties or accidents were recorded; several subsidiaries were recognised as “Provincial-Level Green Factory” and “Advanced-Level Intelligent Factory”.

Social metrics • Total headcount rose to 5,532, with 65.80 % male and 34.20 % female employees; staff under 30 years of age accounted for 29.10 %. • R&D staff numbered 761, representing 13.76 % of the workforce; R&D expenditure reached RMB 694.49 million, equal to 3.27 % of revenue. • Safety investment exceeded RMB 209.94 million; 73,846 training hours were delivered to 46,747 employee attendances. No work-related fatalities occurred. • The firm contributed more than RMB 30.96 million in employee benefits and recorded an overall employee-satisfaction level of 98.20 %.

Governance highlights • A four-tier ESG governance architecture—Board, Strategy Committee, ESG leadership group and working groups—has been installed; 100 % of directors completed integrity and anti-corruption training. • No corruption, unfair-competition or data-privacy violations were reported. • More than 300 suppliers hold ISO 14001 certification; 83 overseas suppliers operate alongside 2,186 domestic partners.

Strategic initiatives • Product carbon-footprint verification was advanced under ISO 14067, while PCR-based plastics entered mass production for home-appliance and electronics clients. • The vertically integrated “One Body, Two Wings” model was reinforced through upstream acquisitions in catalysts, polystyrene and health-sector collagen assets. • Rural-revitalisation programmes facilitated employment for nearly 100 workers in Anhui and Shandong, and multiple education-donation projects were executed.

Outlook The Board plans to deepen climate-risk identification, expand renewable-energy procurement and strengthen supply-chain ESG due-diligence, while maintaining its target of “zero major quality or safety incidents” and continuing to integrate double-materiality analysis into annual operations.
