Prudential cancels 0.37 million shares after latest London Stock Exchange buyback

Prudential plc said it cancelled 369,603 ordinary shares on Apr, 9 2026, following repurchases carried out on Apr, 7 2026.

After the cancellation, the company’s issued share capital declined to 2,525,839,507 ordinary shares from 2,526,209,110.

Prudential added that 501,388 shares repurchased on Apr, 8 2026 and Apr, 9 2026 remain to be cancelled.

The most recent repurchase involved 251,388 shares bought on the London Stock Exchange for a total consideration of about 4.8 million Singapore dollars.

Since receiving its buyback mandate on May, 14 2025, the firm has repurchased 81,107,652 shares, representing 3.11 % of the share count at the time. Under the mandate, Prudential is authorised to repurchase up to 262,668,701 shares.
