Stoneweg Europe Stapled Trust (SET) announced that its trustee-manager, Stoneweg EBT Management Pte. Ltd., has obtained approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for exemptions from Sections 33(2)(a), 33(2)(b) and 78(1) of the Business Trusts Act 2004.
The relief, issued on Mar, 23 2026, permits the trust to disseminate distribution notices, financial statements and other mandated documents to stapled securityholders electronically via SGXNET and the trust’s website, instead of publishing notices in newspapers or sending physical copies.
Key conditions include releasing any distribution declaration on SGXNET, informing investors of their right to request physical copies, and honouring individual elections for document delivery formats. The exemptions will cease once Sections 11 and 49 of the Business Trusts (Amendment) Act 2022 take effect.
The trustee-manager said it intends to publish the distribution notice, the annual report for the financial year ended Dec, 31 2025, and SERT’s sustainability report electronically. Further details will be provided in compliance with the MAS exemption letter.
The announcement was released on Mar, 27 2026.
