STANCHART executes fourth buyback tranche; 0.78 million shares repurchased on 14 May 2026 for GBP 14.88 million

Standard Chartered PLC (STANCHART) disclosed that it repurchased 783,599 ordinary shares on 14 May 2026 across the London Stock Exchange, CBOE BXE and CBOE CXE.

• Price metrics: The purchase was executed within a price band of GBP 18.85–19.11 per share, at a volume-weighted average cost of approximately GBP 18.99. • Cash outlay: Aggregate consideration reached GBP 14.88 million. • Share count impact: The company’s issued share capital stood unchanged at 2.21 billion shares as of the close on 14 May 2026, as the repurchased shares have yet to be cancelled. • Cumulative programme progress: Since shareholder approval on 7 May 2026, the bank has bought back 3.92 million shares, equivalent to 0.18 % of shares outstanding at the time of the mandate. • Remaining headroom: The current authority permits repurchases of up to 221.63 million shares, leaving more than 99 % of the mandate unutilised.

Management intends to cancel all shares acquired under the programme, maintaining zero treasury shares on the balance sheet.
