51WORLD (06651) saw its shares rise more than 11% during morning trading. As of the time of writing, the stock was up 9.4%, trading at HK$57, with a turnover of HK$31.35 million. The company recently announced that, under its 10-year Restricted Share Unit (RSU) plan, it has granted a total of 940,200 reward shares to 303 directors and employees. This represents approximately 0.23% of the company's total issued shares. The shares will be sourced from the company's purchase of existing shares on the secondary market using its own funds or from treasury shares repurchased by the company. The vesting period for the reward shares is set at 25% after 12 months, with the remaining 75% vesting quarterly at 6.25% per quarter, completing over 12 installments. It is reported that 51WORLD's 10-year RSU plan was recently approved by shareholders. Combined with the founder's previously announced ESOP and executive compensation plan, the introduction of this RSU plan is expected to create a long-term mechanism that deeply aligns the interests of the company, shareholders, the founder, and employees. This alignment is intended to maximize overall benefits for all parties and provide foundational momentum for the company's long-term value growth.
