Insilico Medicine Cayman TopCo (Insilico Medicine) has entered a research and development collaboration with SK Biopharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. aimed at discovering artificial-intelligence-enabled drug candidates targeting neuroimmune disorders of the central nervous system.
The agreement grants Insilico Medicine up to USD18.00 million in upfront and near-term milestone payments, with the total potential value of development, regulatory and commercial milestones exceeding USD2.50 billion. Insilico Medicine will also be entitled to receive single-digit royalties on net sales of any commercialized products arising from the collaboration.
Operationally, Insilico Medicine will apply its proprietary Pharma.AI platform—covering target validation, generative chemistry and molecule optimization—alongside its preclinical expertise to identify and design novel neuroimmune candidates. SK Biopharmaceuticals will assume responsibility for late-stage development and global commercialization, leveraging its established clinical and marketing infrastructure in central nervous system therapies.
SK Biopharmaceuticals is recognized for its independent development and U.S. commercialization of XCOPRI (cenobamate) for epilepsy and is expanding its pipeline into radiopharmaceutical therapies and targeted protein degradation. Insilico Medicine, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since December 2025, integrates AI and automation across drug discovery programs spanning fibrosis, oncology, immunology, pain, and metabolic disorders, while also extending its AI platform into sectors such as advanced materials and agriculture.
The companies caution that forward-looking statements in the announcement are subject to uncertainties, and shareholders or potential investors should exercise discretion when dealing in Insilico Medicine’s shares.
