An announcement has been made regarding a significant new contract award. A consortium led by subsidiaries of China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited (601868.SH) has entered into a major engineering, procurement, and construction agreement.
The consortium, formed by China Energy Engineering International Construction Group Co., Ltd., China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Thermal Power Engineering Co., Ltd., and China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., has signed the EPC contract as the main contractor. The contract was signed with the project company established by Saudi Arabia's ACWA Power and Singapore's Sembcorp Tuas C Pte. Ltd.
The contract pertains to the Abu Dhabi Tuas C Gas-Fired Combined Cycle Power Plant Project, with a total value of $1.687 billion, equivalent to approximately 11.42 billion Chinese yuan. The project site is located in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The scope of work involves constructing a dual-fuel gas-fired combined cycle power station with a net output capacity of 2,600 megawatts. The contract covers a comprehensive range of services, including design, manufacturing, supply, factory testing, transportation, civil construction, installation, commissioning, training, acceptance testing, warranty, and maintenance during the guarantee period.
The total project duration is set at 32 months from the commencement of work.
