SAMSONITE (01910) announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2026. The company reported net sales of $829.1 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.1%. Gross profit reached $489 million, up 3.4% compared to the same period last year.

However, profit attributable to equity holders was $32.2 million, marking a significant decrease of 33.2% year-on-year. Adjusted net income stood at $36.5 million, down 29.7% from the prior year. Basic earnings per share were $0.023.

For the three months ended March 31, 2026, the 4.1% growth in net sales was primarily driven by the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channel, strong performance from core brands—particularly the SAMSONITE brand itself—and increased net sales in the fashion luggage category.

These gains were partially offset by the ongoing impact of conflicts in Iran and other parts of the Middle East, coupled with a year-on-year decline in net sales in North America. Additionally, the depreciation of the US dollar had a positive effect on the reported year-on-year growth in net sales.
