Field Trial Work for Scientific Fertilization Efficiency Enhancement Project Launched in the City

The city has initiated efforts to advance its scientific fertilization and efficiency enhancement program. Recently, the Municipal Soil and Fertilizer Work Station and the Municipal Agricultural Technology Extension Station visited the Haizhumao Planting Family Farm in Yongqing County and Beilicun Village in Xianghe County to conduct wheat field yield measurement tests and provide technical guidance for the "Three Summers" production period.

At the Haizhumao Planting Family Farm in Yongqing County, technical personnel provided on-site guidance for late-stage wheat management and harvesting operations. They also conducted yield measurements and collected soil samples from the demonstration area for the "10% Chemical Fertilizer (Base Fertilizer) Replacement with Bio-organic Fertilizer" technical model.

In Beilicun Village, Xianghe County, the guidance team collaborated with Hebei Agricultural University to carry out field trials on fertilizer utilization efficiency as part of the scientific fertilization enhancement project. Technicians communicated with local farmers and, based on the specific conditions of the plots, scientifically divided the experimental areas. In the subsequent stages, they will precisely monitor corn's absorption and utilization of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium nutrients by observing and recording the growth and yield of corn during its growth period.

The scientific fertilization efficiency enhancement project has established a total of eight field trials for wheat and corn fertilizer utilization efficiency across four counties (districts): Xianghe, Anci, Gu'an, and Wen'an. Additionally, one field trial for a wheat scientific fertilization efficiency demonstration zone has been set up in Yongqing. The smooth progress of these field trials lays a scientific foundation for understanding the fertilizer utilization patterns of wheat and corn across the city and for exploring optimal fertilization techniques for crops.
