Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Baghaei, stated on Saturday that Iran and Oman have reached an agreement on a "shipping route map," which forms part of a broader arrangement to manage traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

Baghaei noted that discussions between Iran and Oman regarding a joint statement are still ongoing. The agreement is described as "an independent pact between the two coastal nations," aimed at ensuring the "safe passage of vessels" through the Strait of Hormuz while "preserving the sovereignty of both countries."

"What will happen in the next phase, and how the security of the Strait of Hormuz will be restored, depends on a variety of factors," Baghaei said.
