China Nonferrous Mining (01258) has released its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, showing robust growth across its key business segments.

The company recorded revenue of $2.261 billion for the period, representing a 29.09% increase compared to the same period last year. Profit attributable to shareholders surged 64.68% to $434 million, with earnings per share reaching 11.11 US cents. The board has declared an interim dividend of 1.1113 US cents per share.

Revenue from blister copper and anode copper sales reached $1.1677 billion in the first half of 2026, up 21.7% from $959 million in the corresponding period of 2025. This growth was primarily driven by higher international copper prices, which lifted selling prices for these products year-on-year.

Cathode copper sales revenue climbed 39.2% to $851 million, compared to $611.6 million in the first half of 2025, also benefiting from the uptrend in global copper prices. Meanwhile, sulphuric acid sales revenue increased by 48.1% to $129 million, up from $87.3 million previously, reflecting stronger selling prices driven by supply-demand dynamics.

Looking ahead to the second half of 2026, the company acknowledges that it will face multiple challenges, including external market volatility, overseas country-specific risks, and structural adjustments in supply and demand. However, the group also sees significant opportunities arising from the expansion of AI computing power and the new energy industry, as well as the ongoing revaluation of global critical mineral resources.

Under the leadership of the board, management will maintain its prudent operational strategy, firmly implementing the core objectives of stable production, profit protection, and risk prevention. The company will continue to strengthen safety, environmental compliance, and sustainable development management, while deepening internal reforms and optimising production operations to reduce costs.

The group also plans to steadily advance overseas copper mine acquisitions and expansion projects, promoting diversified development through external mergers and regional diversification. By consolidating its resource reserves and production capacity, the company aims to capitalise on the current high copper price environment, explore new avenues for capital operations and industrial expansion, and ensure steady growth in its 2026 operating performance while driving high-quality, sustainable development.
