169 Global Firms Gather at Dali Medical Expo to Foster Health Silk Road

On May 20th, the 2026 Second Dali Medical Device Industry Expo and South-Southeast Asia International Medical Industry Cooperation Exchange Promotion Conference (referred to as the Dali Medical Expo) commenced in Dali, Yunnan, spanning three days. A total of 169 domestic and international enterprises, alongside multiple business associations and medical institutions, participated in the event, collectively discussing and contributing to the development of the "Health Silk Road."

Themed "New Opportunities, New Momentum, New Cooperation, New Standards · Building a Health Silk Road, Promoting High-Quality Development of the Medical and Health Industry," this edition of the Dali Medical Expo aims to deepen cooperation in the medical and health sectors between Dali and South and Southeast Asian countries. It serves as an international platform for cross-border industrial exchange, technological alignment, and mutually beneficial collaboration.

The exhibition area covered 10,500 square meters, featuring 111 booths. Official delegations, enterprises, business associations, and medical institutions from nine countries, including Myanmar, Thailand, Bangladesh, and Cambodia, were invited to attend.

The expo was organized into two main exhibition zones: the Medical Device Zone and the Shanghai-Yunnan Collaboration Achievements Zone. The Medical Device Zone encompassed sectors such as medical device big health, beauty big health, rehabilitation big health, and pet big health. The Shanghai-Yunnan Collaboration Achievements Zone highlighted the joint accomplishments of Shanghai Fengxian and Dali Midu, comprehensively showcasing the cooperative model of "R&D in Shanghai, transformation in Midu."

Malaysian attendee Dinesh Murgis expressed strong interest in the intelligent medical and remote medical devices displayed at the expo. "Medical resources are limited in some remote areas of Malaysia. Deepening cooperation with China in medical AI and telemedicine could benefit many more people," he noted.

On the opening day, the South-Southeast Asia International Medical Industry Cooperation Exchange Promotion Conference was held, resulting in the signing of 13 cooperative projects. Throughout the Dali Medical Expo, 15 additional industry cooperation and exchange promotion events are scheduled, including organized visits for enterprises to the Yunnan Midu Industrial Park.
