Apichope Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (300723.SZ) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Guangzhou Yipinhong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., has received approval from the National Medical Products Administration for the clinical trial application of its self-developed innovative drug, APH03867 tablets. The company has been issued the Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice and will commence clinical trials in the near future.

APH03867 is a novel oral, non-peptide small molecule URAT1 inhibitor (Urate Transporter 1), developed independently by the company. By inhibiting the activity of URAT1 in the kidneys, the drug blocks uric acid reabsorption in the renal tubules, enhancing uric acid excretion and effectively lowering blood uric acid levels, making it suitable for improving hyperuricemia and gout symptoms.
