Dongyue Group Surges Nearly 8% at Open on Extended HFCs Use Periods in UK and US

Stock News
May 26

Dongyue Group (00189) opened sharply higher, gaining nearly 8%. As of writing, the stock is up 7.72% to HKD 14.65, with a turnover of HKD 29.7542 million.

On the news front, on May 21, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) formally signed and released the final reconsideration rule for the AIM Act technology transition rule. This policy substantially extends the legal service life of third-generation refrigerants in the United States by significantly relaxing the Global Warming Potential (GWP) limits for multiple core sub-sectors.

Furthermore, the UK's Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs announced a delay to its proposed steps for phasing down fluorinated gases.

Huatai Securities believes that the extended usage periods overseas will provide more favorable support for HFCs demand. Given that global HFCs production capacity is primarily concentrated in China and overseas supply is limited, Chinese refrigerant producers are expected to fully benefit.

Guosen Securities points out that domestic refrigerant prices continue to rise, indicating sustained industry prosperity.
