Amap and the Singapore Tourism Board held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony today, where Amap CEO Guo Ning delivered a speech.

He stated that Singapore represents the first international stop for Amap's "Street-Sweeping" rankings, which holds significant importance for the company. China is already Singapore's largest tourism source market. According to Singapore Tourism Board data, Chinese tourists visiting Singapore in 2025 reached 3.1 million. During the same period, Amap users accessing location information related to Singapore also exceeded 3 million.

When these tourists arrive locally, they face a practical issue: while online travel guides are abundant, it remains difficult to determine which attractions are truly worth visiting or which streets hide local culinary favorites. In an era of information overload, what tourists lack most is not more guides, but trust. This is precisely the starting point for Amap's Street-Sweeping rankings. Leveraging Amap's monthly active user base of nearly 1 billion, the platform filters out the most trustworthy recommendations for places, providing a basis for that trust.

"Our philosophy boils down to just two words: authenticity. Shops that are genuinely liked and recommended by many people naturally deserve to be seen by more. This is not a commercial list, but a real ranking voted for by 1 billion users with their feet—a brand-new offline service system," Guo Ning said. Since the launch of the Street-Sweeping rankings, cultural and tourism collaborations have flourished across various regions, user numbers have continued to grow, and many merchants have joined. This has further convinced Amap that a ranking based on authenticity is what the public desires. An important starting point for today's cooperation with the Singapore Tourism Board is the shared belief that authentic experiences themselves are the best recommendations.

He revealed that the two parties will collaborate on several initiatives. First, they will jointly create a Singapore Street-Sweeping ranking. This is the first ranking within the Amap Street-Sweeping system to be co-developed with an overseas national tourism board. The Singapore Tourism Board will assist in connecting with local merchants, while Amap provides technical support. Together, they will build a must-visit list for Chinese tourists traveling to Singapore, covering attractions, food, hotels, and shopping, ensuring that visitors see places also beloved by Singaporeans.

Second, they will bring the "Flying Street View" feature to Singapore, allowing tourists to "fly into" Singapore from a first-person perspective before their trip. From the coastline of Sentosa to the streets of Chinatown, from the skyline of Marina Bay to the storefronts of small shops, what you see is what you get. This is the new immersive experience brought by technology, enabling more excellent establishments to be discovered in this novel way.
