ePlus Inc. (PLUS) experienced a significant after-hours plunge of 8.63% on Thursday, following the release of its fourth-quarter and fiscal year 2026 financial results.

The technology solutions provider reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.00 for the quarter, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $0.98. However, this figure represented a decline from the $1.11 reported in the same period last year. While net sales of $576.17 million surpassed expectations, the company's adjusted EBITDA of $40.1 million came in below the consensus estimate of $41.85 million.

Investors also reacted to a decline in the quarterly gross margin to 24.6%, attributed by the company to a shift in product mix. Furthermore, the initiation of fiscal 2027 guidance, which projects mid-single-digit percentage growth for key metrics, may have been perceived as conservative, especially as the company noted this outlook excludes potential recessionary conditions.
