Foreign Ministry Urges US to Address Cybersecurity Risks Through Equal Dialogue and Consultation with China

On October 9, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning presided over a regular press conference.
In response to a question concerning cybersecurity, Mao Ning stated that China has always firmly opposed and cracked down on hacking activities in accordance with the law, while also firmly opposing the spread of disinformation for political purposes and the creation of various kinds of noise.
Maintaining cybersecurity is a common concern for both China and the United States. China urges the US side to abandon double standards and political manipulation, and to work with China through equal dialogue and consultation to jointly address cybersecurity risks and build a China-US cyber relationship featuring peace, stability, and mutual respect.
