Benchmark Electronics' stock surged 16.46% in the after-hours session following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results, which exceeded analyst expectations.

The electronics manufacturing services provider reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.58, beating the consensus estimate of $0.56. Quarterly sales reached $677.28 million, also slightly above the $676.67 million forecast. The company attributed the strong performance to momentum in its Semiconductor Capital Equipment, Aerospace, Communications, and Medical sectors.

Investors reacted positively to management's upgraded guidance, with Benchmark raising its full-year revenue growth outlook to 9-10% from a previous forecast of mid-single-digit growth. The company also provided second-quarter revenue guidance of $700-740 million and adjusted EPS guidance of $0.65-0.71, signaling continued confidence in its business trajectory.
