Zhaoke Ophthalmology Limited announced that on 22 June 2026 it executed a definitive agreement to take full global ownership of NVK002 (atropine sulfate eye drops), a low-dose atropine therapy intended to slow the progression of myopia in children.

Under the terms disclosed, Zhaoke Ophthalmology will assume worldwide control of all intellectual property, trademarks, regulatory dossiers, clinical data, and manufacturing assets related to NVK002, replacing the October 2020 regional licence that had limited the company’s rights to Greater China, South Korea and selected Southeast Asian markets. The integrated ownership structure is expected to streamline development, manufacturing and commercialization strategies across all territories.

As part of the transaction, Zhaoke Ophthalmology has granted a perpetual, royalty-free, exclusive licence for NVK002 in the United States to Nevakar Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which will also provide transition support and remain a strategic partner in that market. Standard non-compete, regulatory-cooperation and indemnification provisions have been incorporated to safeguard the asset and ensure operational continuity.

NVK002 employs a proprietary, preservative-free formulation designed to stabilize low-concentration atropine and offers a 24-month shelf life. The board reiterated that, in line with Hong Kong Listing Rule 18A.05, successful development or commercialization of the product cannot be guaranteed, and investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares.
